TAXI OWNERS CONFER.
LEGISLATION OPPOSED. (Per Press Association, t AYELLINGTON, October 19. At the annual conference of the Taxi-cab Owners’ Federation, the report stated that th© executive believed that the legislation now before Parliament and the legislation proposed would cripple the taxi business. It called for still further efforts to oppose it. The report also stated that finances of the federation required building up. The Palmerston North Association was granted affiliation.
