A DOUBLE TRAGEDY.
( FARMER KILLS HIS WIFE AND THEN COMMITS SUICIDE (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, October 12. The Wanganui police have been ad- ; vised of a sad tragedy at Nukuraaru • last night. A farmer named Luka ! M’Gorman murdered liis wife, cutting ! her throat with a razor. He then cut his own throat. Tt is reported that M’Gorman and liis tcjfe quarrelled about eight o’clock at i their homo. His wife rushed out and ran along the road but was overtaken bv her husband, who cut her throat and I then dragged the body to the side of ■j tho road. M’Gorman then proceeded to nn adjoining paddock and cut his own. : throat. MVs M’Gorman’s body was found this ! morning and also M’Gorman’s.
