From September Sto October the number of calls received by the City Fire Brigade was sixteen. Of these, three were for malicious false alarms, seven for chimney fires and six for actual fires- The estimated total fire loss for this period was £330 ; the insurances on buildings and contents £7400; and the estimated values of property actually involved £10,500.
