LATE MR STOREY’S FUNERAL.

Tho route of Mr Storey’s funeral from the Cathedral to the railway station for several hours before the cortege moved was lined with dense crowds. After an impressive service at the Cathedral, conducted by the Dean and the Primatb, the procession, which was headed by the fire brigade band and three thousand marching unionists, left for the Fijeld of Mars cemetery. At the railway- station special trains were waiting for those marching. The Cathedral, where the bodv lay in state, was visited by many tnoajs&ndj. It was one of the largest and most representative funerals held in the State, four motor-cars being necessary to convey the floral tributes.

Members of the Federal Labour Party were absent, the secretary telegraphing that they wore unable to attend, owing to the critical position in the Houbo of Representatives.
