With reference to the Cape Town ‘ s Argus ” correspondent’s comment on the refereeing in the CanterburySpringbok match Mr Will Lawson, Reuter’s correspondent with tie Sprigboks, bears out what Mr Simpson, tho referee, stated yesterday. Mr Lawson states that ha asked the team after the match what they attributed their defeat to. They unanimously declared that the better team won. Portions of Reuter’s message to Africa dealing with this game read a 3 follows:—Win due to extra pace of forwards. Springboks unanimous best team won. Sheer weight in scrum but too alow in loose. Not rough. Infringement- about equal.’’
