PROGRESS LEAGUE.
NELSON AND MARLBOROUGH TOUR. A tour of the Nelson and Marlborough provinces by a party of sentative Canterbury men is contemplated by the Progress League, and the co-operation of the various public organisations of Canterbury is being sought. Tho council of the Canterbury Automobile Association decided last evening to endeavour to arrange for a representative to take part in the tour. A letter received from the secretary of the Progress League said that the value attaching to the establishment and maintenance of friendly relations with neighbouring provinces'and the possession of a full and first-hand knowledge of their requirements and potentialities hardly needed to be discussed. The tour would begin as soon as a full party could be got together. The itinerary provisionally agreed on was : First Day.—Christchurch to Reefton. Second Day.—Reefton to Nelson. Third and Fourth Days.—To be spent in the Nelson district viewing places of interest. Fifth Day.—Nelson to Blenheim. Sixth and Seventh Days.—lnspection of places of interest in and around Blenheim. Eighth Day.—Blenheim to Kaikoura. Ninth Day.—To be spent in Kaikoura. Tenth Day.—Kaikoura to Christchurch. A local committee in each centre is arranging a suitable programme for each day and night of the tour.
