STRENGTH GRADUALLY DIMINISHING. LENIN’S ADMISSION. By Telegraph—P-ess Association—Copyright. Reuter's Telegrams. (Received August 25, 10.40 a.m.) PARIS, August 24. “ Le Matin” publishes a letter written by Lenin to a friend admitting the failure of the Communist experiment in Russia. He says:—“We committed a. grave error in attaching such importance to the classes.” He admits the falsity of the Bolshevist hypothesis and la meats the worthlessness of his entourage, declaring the strength of the Bolshevist party to be diminishing daily. He concludes that he long recognised the imminence of a compromise and intimated to M. Krassin and other Bolshevik agents the necessity for entering into confidential relations to that end-with the Russian ’Socialist emigres.
