In the Municipal Council Chambers on Monday evening next., at 8 p.m., the citizens’ presentation *to Superintendent J. Dwyer will take place. An invitation has been extended to citizens to attend. Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., presided over a short sitting of the Magistrate’s Court, held at the Police Station this morning. James Alexander M’Whirtor, a second offender for drunkenness, was fined 20s, in default forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. John O’Callaghan (Mr R. Twynehara), was charged that on August 5, at Sydenham, he stole a gent’s bicycle, valued at £7 10s, tho property of Thomas Crosley. The accused was remanded till Monday, bail being allowed, • 1 in £SO and one surety of £SO.
