Replying to a question in the House of Commons, Sir W. Mitchell-Thomson (Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food) stated that the Board of Trade was considering a very substantial reduction in the estimates for the Headquarters Staff of the Overseas Trade Department. The Australian Press Association learns that the reduction will not in any .ray interfere with the activities of the High Commissioners for Australia, New Zealand, and the other Dominions, who will continue to work on the present lines.
