France, barquentine, for Wellington, early. SHIPPING- NOTES. The Koranui was dispatched from Lyttelton yesterday afternoon for Gisborne and Napier with general cargo. The Kanna finished her discharging yesterday and sailed for Dunedin. On her return trip north she will call at Timaru and thence proceed direct to Wellington, omitting Lyttelton. The Win gat ui is to loavo Auckland this week for Bluff, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Breeze is now due from Wellington on Sunday. She will load here for Dunedin and Timaru. The Storm wes yesterday refloated out of the dry dock, where she has been undergoing overhauling, pointing and cleaning. After loading a quantity of cargo and taking in hunkers she sailed for Timaru and Oamaru last night. The Calm is due to-day from Oamaru with wool and tallow for transhipment to the France. The Wootton is due on Sunday, from Wellington, and id expected to sail on the return trip on Monday evening. The auxiliary schooner Zita will be dis-to-day for Wellington. The Corinna is due hero on Thursday next from Dunedin, via Timaru. She will leave tho same evening for Nelson -and New Plymouth. Tue Rama, from the Chat hams, and the Ilipple from Napier, were sheltering under Cape Palliser yesterday afternoon. COAL AND TIMBER SUPPLIES. The Union Company's cargo steamer Waifcora. arrived at Wellington on Wednesday with a load of coal from Newcastle. The Viaihora left Newcastle on July 29, and made a good trip 'of five days. Moderate gales with heavy squalls were experienced on the voyage. Captain J. Maweon is in command, and he has the following officers: —First, Mr J. \V. Cameron; second, Mr A. Brockett.; third, Mr H. Hall. The Opihi arrived from Newcastle last night with a cargo of hardwood timber for the Harbour Board. The Garbeta wa,s dispatched from Wellington yesterday for Newcastle. The Kahika, which 13 timed to leave Lyttelton on Saturday at noon for Greymouth, is to load at that port for Wellington. OVERSEAS SHIPPING The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruahine was to leave Tokomaru Bay at midnight to-day for Wellington. She rs due there on Sunday. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’ll liner Taiuui is scheduled to leave Southampton on September 8 for New Zealand ports. The U.S. and A. Line steamer Easterner left New York on July *23 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington and New Plymouth. She is due at Auckland on August 30, and ut Wellington about September 9. The C. and D. Line has received advice that the Port Stephens sailed fiom Barry C Wales) last Saturday with a cargo of coal for Auckland. She is due there on September .15. The I’akena will not leave Wellington till Saturday to complete discharge and commence homeward loading at Auckland. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company have received cabled advice that the Wh'akatane, which sailed from Lyttelton for London on June 22, left Newport News in contimiation of her voyage on July 29. Sydney advices state that* the steamer Admiral Codrington has arrived at Durban with furnaces defective. The Admiral Ccdrington is en route from Gisborne to London. While loading at Gisborne, the Admiral Codrington was in collision with the steamer Whakatane, and damage was done to both steamers. The C. and D. liner Port Stevens left Barry with a cargo of coal on Saturday last for Auckland. Sue is due at Auckland about September 1G The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rimutaka, which sailed from Southampton for New Zealand on July 7, left Panama for Wellington on Friday last. She is <lue there about August 24. The Somerset is expected to leave Lyttelton on Saturday The West Hepburn will sail either tomorrow evening or Saturday for Dunedin. Tho Paparoa will probably not sail for The Piako is to sail from Liverpool in September for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton
