AN AMERICAN EXPEDITION. By Telegraph.—Rress Association—OopyrightAn*traliau2 and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, August 1. Mr Edwin N&ulty, an American Meteorologist, has announced that he will make a flight across the arctic Ocean, to the North Vole, thence to Spitsbergen apd to the North. Cape in Nopvay. *A start will be made fro m Point Barrow, Alaska, in September. A stop will he made at the Pole for observation. One airplane will be used and there will be three pilots, besides Mr Naulty himself. He declares that the adventure is not an incentive, but he hoped to accomplish certain scientific results and study Arctic air-cur-rents and magnetic variation and inclination. The machine will be equipped with wireless for communication with civilisation.
