Mr Dey said tliat there were only 2200 seats that, could be reserved, and if a third of them were reserved for country patrons up till a certain time no injustice would be done. It was resolved that no more than six seats would lie issued to one applicant, and that 15 per cent of the seats should bo reserved for country people. INTER-SCHOOLS FOOTBALL. Mr B.’ 11. North, at last night’s meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union, brought up a. proposal emanating from the' Otago Teachers’ Association, that a conference should be held at the time of the test match in Dunedin with the object of instituting an interprovincial primary schools tournament annually. Mr North suggested that panics might be played at Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill end Timaru. It was resolved to provide funds for the expenses of two delegates to Dunedin, as suggested.
