MR A. LAWRENCE GEE, J.P., Town Clerk of Riccarton since September. 1918. Mr Gee, prior to taking up that position, served three and a half years with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force in Samoa, with the rank of first lieutenant. He had about twenty-three years' volunteer and Expeditionary Force service. He is a leading rifle shot, and held the South Island championship in 1906.
