CHRISTCHURCH SPORTS CLUB. A meeting of the executive of the Christchurch Sports Club was held on Wednesday evening. The secretary reported having received replies from Williams and Gleeson. the two Australians who are under engagement to the club to appear on Monday, June 20. Tho draw for the feather-weight preliminaries was:- Fraser V. M*Donald. Burns v. Quickenham. Six-rognd bouts:—O’Connor v. Armstrong, Johnston (Christchurch) v. Terris (Ashburton), Harvey v. Wood eh ou se. The St Patrick’s Sports Association wrote again seeking affiliation, and also making a request for a permit for the end of August. The secretary stated that August 11 and 12 had been secured by territorial competition, and August 23 for the Christchurch Sports Club for a professional contest. It was decided to leave the question over for a full meeting of the committee.
