A FAMOUS MOUNTAINEER.

Dr Kolias, whose death was recently reported, was a famous mountaineer who devoted his life to testing the use of oxygen to overcome breathing difficulties at high altitudes. He was accompanying tho * Everest expedition for this purpose. He recently ascended Mount Kabru, which is 20.000 feet high, in order to obtain photographs of Mount Everest. His death was the result of ceaseless exertions and overstrain.
