At yesterday’s meeting of the Waimairi County Council a letter was received from the Papanui Women’s Christian Temperance Union expressing the union’s appreciation of tho council’s action in doing away with liquor at its meetings. It was decided to have the letter framed and hung on the wall of the Council Chamber.
