Two charges of procuring liquor whilst prohibited were preferred against Charles William Hill. Inspector Hfcndrey said that recently accused had been charged with failing to maintain his wife, and he had pleaded that he was unable to do so on account of hn» health. Accused said it was his first breach of tho order. He had only had some port wine and brandy. XT*ll was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon* Tho Magistrate warned him that if he broke his order again no mercy would be shown him. ORDER FOR ARREST. There was no appearance of Elizabeth Redly, charged with the disobedience of o maintenance order made in resjiect of two children iu tho Christchurch Receiving Home. Tho arrears amounted to £74 IDs. The Magistrate ordered a warrant to Ixj issued for the arrest of accused. MAINT’KNANCE ORDER. Mary Clarke Tongue (Mr Tracy) pro~ | reeded against her husband.
