Mr S. Johnson presided over a wellattended meeting of the Leeston Progress League. The committee set up at the previous meeting of house holders, to define the boundaries of the proposed tonu district presented ite report. After consideration the report ffa., unanimously adopted. The committee was authorised to seek the assistance of Mr Alex Webster, county engineer, in the preparation of a plan of the area, to be sent, with the petition, to the Minister of Internal Affairs for the sanction of the Govern-or-General.
