Mr W. E. Leadley, secretary of the Canterbury Returned Soldiers’’Association, who arrived in Wellington yesterday from the South African conference of soldiers’ organisations, left for Lyttelton last night and wijl report on the interesting gathering to a general meeting of his association to-night. His companion, Mr H. J. Knight, of ChristohOreh. the other New Zealand delegate to the conference, did not return hv the. same steamer as Mr Leadley. as he joined a party of delegates who proceeded fi'om Cape Town to Rhodesia on a tour of sightseeing and in the interests of tho organisation nf Ihcj siouth African Comrades Association.
