THE ANZAC DAY ADDRESSES

TO THU EDITOR Sir, —I suppose it was quite a wise thing to warn our school boys against '■ the terrible dangers of table-rapp-ing," and yet would it not have been wiser to have nothing, and then there would have been no prying curiosity? If our boys on the other side have a “ real and not a shadowy existence/' and want to get messages through, and they find that there ir; a kind of Morse code in the form of table-rapping in working order, 1 don’t see why we should be too dictatorial as to the methods they find expedient to employ. One preacher gave forth a fine bit of business psychology when he said it was almost a criminal act for anyone to go around spreading reports about financial stringency here and there—a far more dangerous proceeding than tabletapping. Father Seymour deserves the thanks of the community.—l am. etc., P.T.
