TRANS-PACIFIC FLIGHT.

The United States Navy is constructing a huge seaplane to attempt a transpacific flight in tho late summer or early spring. The machine is a triplane with a wing spread of 167 feet. It is driven by nine 400-horse-power ; motors, and has a lifting capacity of 30,000 pounds- The machine requires a crew of twelve. The tentative route of the proposed flight is Santiago, ,Honolulu, Wake Island, Guam, Manila.
