COMMISSION OF INQUIRY. [Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, March 2. In connection with the llleg.i! ions made last session by Mr H. E. Holland ihat meat unfit for human consumption had been exported from New Zealand it is understootd that arrangements have been made for the appointment of a Commission of Inquiry under the presidency of Sir Thomas Mackenzie. The allegations were officially* denied at the time, though a certain amount o( deterioration is some cases, ow.ng to prolonged storage, was admitted.
