Kendell (Auckland) presiding. The following (officers were elected:—-Presi-dent, "Mr It end el 1: vice-president, Mr F. 11. Wyles (Christchurch; member of the Advisory Board, Mr TV. Simm (Wellington); auditor, Mr M. F- . Nicliolls (Wellington). It was resolved | that the conference affirms the desira- | bilitv of closer co-operation between j employer and employee, and the inauguration among members of a systematic course of instruction to en courage greater efficiency among tho junior members of the staffs ; also that the proposal that the Government be asked to institute a postage cash-on-deli very system lie referred back to local associations for consideration.
