ECCENTRIC PEER'S WIDOW.
FOUND DEAD IN FLAT. LONDON. February 7. Lady A\ allscourt, widow of tlie eccentric ]x*er who died in April, 1920, was found dead in a Brighton flat with a glass and powders near by. s he formerly kept a Tobacconist’s simp at Putnev. and left a note saving: *• The solicitors will tell you why t put an end to niv awful misery/’ Lord Wallscourt was prominently bdforu the public in February, 1920, wlietri / bis affairs were inquired into in the Bankruptcy Court. On that, occasion [u declared that iiis great trouble had been that lie was a dipsomaniac, anil that explained Ids extravagance and the losses for which lie was unable to account. He lad been in trouble with v i lie police on six occasions for drunken-' ness. Since his Lather died he half been inundated with circulars from moneylenders offering to. lend him *- m« tic.v.
