The AYheat Commission lias been adjourned sine die. Mr Justice Bring meanwhile states that there was no evidence implicating Grahame in any malpractice. ENG IN EDRIVER S’ D ISPUTE. It was stated at a compulsory conference on engincdrivcrs’ claims that all •the Queensland coal mines wore idle *>endi.ng the settlement of this dispute. The conference lias adjourned until the mines resume working, Mr Dibble (chairman) stating that the workers cannot have a strike and arbitration too. MR STOREY’S TRIUMPH. The Parliamentary Labour Party, without nting, decided to support the attitude of the Premier, and asked the executive, to withdraw its demands. Mr Storey said that it- was a unanimous decision, which he regarded as n personal triumph. The Premier and the executive discussed the position last night, six Ministers being present. The matter was adjourned till to-night. DROP TV METAL VALUES. MELBOURNE. January 21. Mr C Eraser, of the Broken Hill Association of Smelters, in comparing *he market capital values of the Broken Hill mining companies at the end of 3920 with the highest prices ruling throughout the year, said they showed a decrease of £7,000,000. The drop in the tiholc base of the metal industry v as ■£11.000,000.
