The Wootton was placed on the slip this morning tor cleaning and painting, as well ua to undergo survey. The Cygnet, which was placed on the slip on August 15 for repairs, owing to having sprung a leak whilst on her wav freni Kaikoura to Lyttelton, haa practically had a new hull constructed. The lower cabin haa boon converted into a hold, so that an additional 83 tons of cargo may b e carried. The crew’s quarters have been placed on the main deck. It is expected that the . vessel will bo ready to resume in the Akaroa-Lyt-t-eiton-Kaikoura trad* in about three weeks’ The Oorinna is undergoing engine-room repairs, and will not leave Lyttelton lor Nelson and New Plymouth until to-morrow. The Te Anau is expected to arrive from Dunedin on Sunday. The auxiliary scow- Magic reached Lyttelton yesterday from Wellington, and will be dispatched icr Wellington, again to-morrow.
