EARL HAIG of Bemersyde, Commander of the British Armies in France from 1915 to 1918. He is better known to fame as “Sir Douglas Haig.” The coming of peace has not brought any relaxation of effort to Britain’s Field Marshal, as he is taking a leading and energetic part in the settlement of problems affecting the thousands of British ex-service men. He wiil probably attend the Cape Town Conference.
