Aly hostess was good enough to I,ell me how this fascinating Little idea, is carried jut. The letters which go to form the. desired word are worked out in pin pricks. Then, with a. small camel’s hair orush, red ink is applied to the rows of holes. The colour takes readily, and a charming effect is produced. II desired other col ours could be secured oy using some of the aniline hat dyes. It is quite easy to work out patterns and even simple pictures on soap tablets, introducing several colours. Tin? different, shades settle into the pinholes, and the tints do not spread about as one might suppose. Naturally Hie best effects are secured by using a white or cream soap, but excellent results mav be obtained bv using a soap that js not Loo pronounced in tone.
