MEETING OF BOARD. A meeting of fhe Board of Governors tvus held at the college to-day: present - .Messrs H. A. Knight, R. W. Lochliead, J. Deans, Thomas Blackley, Dr I'kiltou, lion 1). Buddo. Mr Tripp apologised for absence. Tli‘3 chairman reported that the position of lecturer in chemistry and physics lim! been offered to Mr \V. C. Purdie, wht? had studied at the Victoria College. Wellington, and the Teachers’ Training College. Wellington, afterwards going through his agricultural course at Lincoln, gaining the college diploma-. He had also completed his B.Sc. course, and had taken nearly all 1 is exminatious in B.Ag. course. Air Purdio had five years’ laboratory experience in the Pathological and Bacteriological Laboratories Wellington (Public Health Department). Mr Purdio had intimated acceptance of the position. The action of the chairman was approved. members expressing their gratification at being in a position jto appoint as a member of the staff a n • ex-«tudent of the college.
