Kokiri, s.s.. for West Coast, early. SHIPPING NOTES. The Paparoa landed 17 ealoon and 31 thirdclass passengers She lias 3118 tons London cargo to discharge at Lyttelton. The Baden Powell arrived from pollington at midday yesterday, and should sail for Wellington this evening. The Storm was dispatched for Wanganui direct last evening. The vessel is expected hack pn Wednesday to load for the south. Tlio Wakatu arrived from Wellington, via Kaikoura, last evening. The vessel is expected to leave on tho return trip at midnight on Sunday or Monday. The Breeze which arrived late on Thursday night, left for Timaru and Dunedin last evening. She is expected back on Wednesday to load for Pictou and Wanganui. The Wanaka, on discharging her cargo from Auckland, which included a consignment of 326 tons of sugar, sailed last night for Timaru, Bhiff and Dunedin. After unloading at Dunedin she will proceed to Port Chalmers for survey. The steamer To Anau is due to-day from the south to load for Napier and Gisborne, but it is doubtful whether Bho will reach Lyttelton before Sunday, in which case she will sail for the north on Monday. The Karina is to load at Auckland next week for Wellington and Lyttelton.

The (Jtago Harbour lioard returns for 1920 show that the imports during the year totalled 309,438 tons, as compared with 239,204 for the previous year. The exports were 142,039 tons, as compared with 137.802 for 1919. In' 1912 the imports totalled 505,71.9 tons, and the exports 165,761. The cargo last. year was handled in 396 boats, of a total tonnage of 614,912 tons. Ths Scales barquentine Ysabel, which left Auckland on October 14 for Rarotonga. Mangaia. Aitutaki and Rarotonga again, arrived at San Francisco from tho last-men-tioned port on Monday. She made a fast of thirty-two days, and after discharge is to load case oil at l*os Angeles for New Zealand.

With the arrival at Southampton of the Aquitania from New York and the departure of the Carmania. from Liverpool for New York recently, the Canard Line have, with these steamers, dealt with nearly 3000 passengers. An agreement being arrived at with the watersiders working the steamer Makura, work was resumed this morning. The Makura leaves for Sydney at 4 p.m. PERSONAL. Mr W. Williams has signed on the John as mate, and Mr A. J. Moody has joined as second mate, vice Mr W. H. Gower. Mr F. Stidolph. third engineer, and Mr C Burgess, second mate, have joined the Flora. Mr J. Scott has joined the Zita as mate, in place of Mi A. Carson. INTERCOLONIAL SERVICE. The Paloona arrived from Wellington at 7 p.m. yesterday. She is timed to leave for Dunedin this evening. COAL AND TIMBER SUPPLY. The Ngakuta will be dispatched at 5 p.m. this evening for Greymouth where she wi.l bunker and "proceed to Newcastle. The Perth is also expected to sail for Greymouth to-night. After bunkering, she will proceed to Newcastle. The Kahika will be docked on Monday for cleaning, painting and survey. She wiU be floated out on Tuesday, and may leave the same day for the West Coast. The Kokiri will be docked after the Kahika. This vessel will leave for the West Coast towards the end of next week.
