Leaving the aerodrome at eleven o’clock on Saturday. Captain Euan Dickson arrived in llakaia at 11,30 a.m. with Mr and Mrs Dunstan as passengers. There was a head wind and rain between Sclwyn and Rakaia’ but the weather .then cleared. From Rakaia another cross-country flight was made to Mr Mucidc’s homestead, about twelve miles away towards the beach Mi Muckle alid Mr H. Crombie being passengers out and back. The machine came down on a paddock adjoining the homestead, and flew back after a wait of about ten minutes. In the afternoon passenger flights were given at Rakaia until about four o’clock, and at 4.40 p.m. Captain Dickson flew back to Christchurch with Mr George Crombie and a lady passenger.
