Children, at the Elmwood School, Leinster Road, planted in their playground this season a large number of daffodils in a bed alongside the road. The plants bloomed splendidly, and wero admired by the children, but a chorus of indignation went up from them yesterday morning when they found that about twenty-live of the best blooms had been plucked. It was thought that the teachers had taken them, and the headmaster, Air J. K. Sinclair, was interviewed. It was discovered then that some person nad stolen the blooms. They were seen by a resident of the district at S p.m. on Thursday. The theft was committed between that time and 8.30 a.m. yesterday. Air AV. Jones, chairman of the School Committee, states that if the offender calls upon him ho will give him, or her, 100 daffodil bulbs. ' and something else not s*-* ilowwry.”
