At the Supreme Court, Sir John Salmond sentenced the following prisoners who had pleaded guilty in the Lower Court;— Sinclair Gordon Cook, thett and escaping from custody, twelve months’ hard labour and three years’ reformative treatment; Thomas Ching Ting Young, a Chinaman, forgery and uttering, twelve months’ hard labour; Frank Williams, false statement under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, was fined £lO or,a month’s imprisonment; Henry Hubert Silk, theft of money at the Grand Opera House, two years’ imprisonment and two years’ reformative treatment; William Banks, breaking and entering and theft, one year; Charles Valentine Atkins, theft, six months; Isabella Cousins, perjury and false declaration concerning the paternity of a child, was admitted to probation _ for one year; Elizabeth Queenie Sink, false declaration under tho Births and Deaths Registration Act, was fined £lO or a month’s imprisonment. ,
