Chief Forester of the United States, says that Alaska contains about 100 000,000 cords of pulp wood and S5 produce 15,000,000 tons of newsprint' yearly, which virtually equals tho amount that tho United States is now compelled to import from Canada. Two largo mills will shortly bo established xn -jUaska for the production of paper.
