A dance given by Messrs Arthur Henderson and C. Ayers to a number of their friends was held in the Lyttelton Club Hall last evening. The hall, which was beautifully decorated with _ streamers, Japanese lanterns and bunting, was occupied 'by some seventy couples. A dainty supper was served in the club billiard room.
