A dance given by Messrs Arthur Henderson and C. Ayers to a number of their friends was held in the Lyttelton Club Hall last evening. The hall, which was beautifully decorated with _ streamers, Japanese lanterns and bunting, was occupied 'by some seventy couples. A dainty supper was served in the club billiard room. The chaperones were Mesdames E. H. Henderson, W. Henderson, T. Hunter, and hj! Rhincl. Mr C. H. Henderson officiated as Master of Ceremonies.
