N.Z. ATHLETIC AND CYCLING UNION.

*- NORTH CANTERBURY CENTRE. The annual meeting of North Canterbury Centre of the Now Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union was hold last evening in the T.M.O.A. rooms. Air W. J. Walker presided over the following delegates:—Messrs B. M Kenna, G. Gotson, R. S. Pearson, A. J. Barritt, \V. Daly, A. E. Milne, J. A. Healings and P C. Lucas, secretary. The annual report stated that Geo. F. Goodall hud put up a cycling record between the Christchurch Post Office and Governor’s Bay and back of 1 our 20 minutes. A very succcsful had just closed, sports meetings being held all over Canterbury, showing a big revival in sports. The Christchurch St Patrick's Association were to bo congratulated on their meeting at Lancaster Park, it being one of the biggest ever held in Christchurch. The balance-sheet showing s credit balance of £9 Gs Id was read and adopted. It was decided to send the following remit to the annual conference to be hold in Wellington on (September le:—"That tho (ration of all competitors at sports meetings bo enforced and that every competitor who gets a license should take the number ns his registered number . The Permit Committee granted a permit to the Bouthbridgo Sports Club to hold a sports meeting on Labour Day. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. A.
