v (Special to the “Star.”) WELLINGTON, July fo. CIVIL SERVANTS’ WAGES. The Government is ready with proposals in regard to wages, not only to railwayman, hut to the whole of the public service, and is only awaiting formal acceptance in certain directions before announcing its decision. GOVERNMENT BILLS. Government business will receive attention to-day, the first Bills on. the order paper being the Registration of Aliens and the -Marriage Amendment, both of which are to be committed, 1 ami the Counties , Bill, winch is at Mie second reading stage.
