Tho Baden Powell is expected to leave Wellington this evening for Lyttelton. SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE. The D.M.S. Tofua arrived in tho stream late last night from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, and berthed this morning at No, 10, Queen’s wharf. Tho trip was uneventful. The Tofua left San Francisco at 11.50 a.m, on Juno 19. and experienced moderate weather until arrival at Papeete at 3.40 p.m. on July 1. Similar conditions prevailed between Papeete and Rarotonga, tho latter port being reached at 9 p.m, on July 6. Leaving Rarotonga at 9.80 a.m. on July 7, the Tofua experienced moderate to strong westerly winds and rough seas until arrival at Wellington last night. She brought the following saloon passengers;— Misses ivetton and Winder Mcsdamos Campbell, Dalxiel and Walker, Messrs Bankior. Campbell, Frankham, Miller M’Manus, T. M. Wilford. Janisol, Dr Dalzicl, Dr Heard; also thirteen steerage. The Tofua, which brings a full general cargo, will sail on tie return trip to San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete, cn Tuesday next.
