M’Adoo’s friends have announced his willingness to accept the Democratic nomination. The first stage of the battle will rage round Messrs M’Adoo, Cox and Palmer. The Democratic Convention opened to-day, and threatens to get out of the leaders’ hands, over the prohibition, League of Nations and Irish questions. - SAN FRANCISCO, June 28. A picture of President “Wilson was unveiled at the Democratic Convention. Thirty minutes of cheering and parading, which followed tho ceremony, delayed the opening of tho Convention.
