A meeting ot representatives'of frozen meat- companies of the Dominion was held to-day. when the question of a more definite, organisation than existhitherto was discussed. Probably an official agent will be settled in Wellington as'representative of the associated companies’ interests, to act with a small executive to he appointed. Shortage of tonnage and the conditions likely to prevail upon tho termination of the Commandeer were also discussed. A deputation was appointed to wait upon the Prune .Minister to urge that in thi' event of the commandeer not being extended lie should pre>s for n Hi a ranee of the works before the opening ol the IOdO-11l season.
