ALL ABOUT A POSTER.
SOLDIERS REFUSE TO ACCEPT PROHIBITION. The Cold Water Party is excited because of a poster which depicts a, returned soldier refusing the overtures of the prohibitionists. Well, is there anything objectionable or remarkable, about that? Is it an offence for a man who has fought for liberty—bis own and everybody clse’s —to refuse politely, but firmly-*, an invitation to take out a. prohibition order against him self? No doubt the Poster burls th o Extremists, because it so accurately describes the position. Tim soldiers of file Dominion have rejected prohibition'by a majority of four to one. There is every reason to suppose that they will repeat that vote on December 17th. And why not. to the name of reason? Tlio Prohibitionists have Ivon good enough to announce that, the Poster is on view at the Christchurch railway station. Go and inspect it, for it hits off the attitude of the returned soldier to n T.
