The by-eleotion for South Croydon resulted:— Sir Allan Smith (Coalition Unionist) . . 11,777 Houlder (Lineral) , • 9,573 (At tho general election in December, 19lS, a Coalition Unionist (Mr lan Malcolm) was returned, with 17,813 votes.)
