The War Graves Commission is installed at Kilid Bahr, ten to fifteen tniles, from Anzao and Cape Helles. Colonel Hughes recently visited Constantinople and compelled arrangements with tho Turkish authorities to facilitate the operations. Anzae will be the first spot treated. Already there are between forty and fifty burial spots, also burial at Gape Helles, including all those in which Australians are buried. It will be five mouths before the roads are fit for motor traffic. Tho whole scene is again one of active Australian operations—an epilogue of the tragedy of 1916, with the sosne swept clear of all that was hideous. Only the silent Wooden monuments remain. The trenches are overgrown with shrubs and Hewers. It is hoped that by next spring everything will bo in readiness for those who are able to secure transport facilities to make a pilgrimage to Gallipoli.
