The Public Service Association conference , to-day. adopted, a, remit “ that, overtime shall be paid for all time** worked in excess of a 44-hour week at the; rate of 2s per hour, provided that when a half holiday or holiday or holidays occur _in any week a deduction of four hours for each half ■ holiday, and eight hours for each holiday, shall -be made from the number of hours to be worked, before overtime is claimed; this shall apply to messengers and nightwatchmen.” . . Another remit adopted was ” That all officers over, the age; of forty years shall be entitled to three weeks’ annual leave i in*espectivo' of - their length- of srvice' ” > " ' ,
