AMATEUR CHAMPION SHIP. The. semi-final in the Christchurch amateur Dillards championship was played lost evening in the Returned Soldiers’ Club rooms between L A. Earritt (Working Men’s Club) and J. Bickerdike (Police Social Club). The game was 500 up, and tho concluding stages were highly exciting, Barritt making a fi n # break of 93. Bickerdike, whoso best breaks wore 49, 41, 40, 39, 30 and 28, managed to run out whan his opponent was 454 Other breaks by Barritt were 36, 23 and 22. Tha final will be played next Wednosdav evening in he Working-Men’s Club between W. Smith {Returned Soldiers’ Club) and J Bickerdike (Police Social Club). Both competitors are previous winners of the championship, and, should Bickerdike win the cup will become his property, ae ho has held >f tvrico already.
