ANNUAL COMPETITIONS. The annual competitions of the Canterbury Band of Hope Union were continued in the Choral Hall last evening. There was a very large attendance, and Mr T. W. West was in the chair. The items fudged were as follows; Tableau; pianoforte eolo, Class A; humorous recitation, Section 1., boys irecalls); dialogue. Section I.;" pianoforte solo. Class D; concerted recitation. Section II.; club solo. Section I.; vocal solo. Class D. female; maypole dance; recitation, Class D, female (recalls).
