PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
TERMS OF OFFICE EXTENDED. [Fkom Our Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, September 27. The term of the Public Service Commissioners (Messrs D. Robertson. l-cxO., and A. D. Thomson) expires at the end of this year, and the Government has decided to request both officers to continue their duties for six months. The reason is that members of Cabinet find it difficult to secure time for selection of suitable ?ucce~ sors as the business of Parliament and the general election to follow is amply sufficient to engross their attention.
