Trotsky, in an arrogant speech at Moscow, tauntingly declared that the Sonet Government was safe and no longer feared foreign intervention Neither Mr Lloyd George, M. Clemenceau nor President Wilson dared to go against the wiil of the Western Europe proletaria. They were not 'permitted to dispatch large armies and were compelled to coniine themselves to small volunteer forces.
SOCIALISTS FAVOUR PEACE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Reuter’s Telegrams. (Received September 26, 9.35 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, September 25. A congress of Baltic States Socialists, at Riga, adopted a resolution favouring acceptance of the Russian Soviet’s peace on the ground that a democratic Russia was more desirable than a Koltchak Russia.
