INDUSTRIES WEEK.
The revival of Industries Week is a timely and highly desirable movement. The secondary industries of the country are becoming an increasingly important factor in its prosperity, and anything which will help their development should receive assistance. Exhibitions of the past have served useful purposes in introducing, more or less spectacularly, the value and quality of New Zealand manufactures to the. local public. ‘‘ Made in New Zealand’’ became a patriotic slogan, and it can be made more powerful if it is judiciously fostered. For the coming exhibition the Progress League and Industrial Association are to be associated, and their combined energy and enthusiasm should accomplish a good deal to help the industries of the city and province.
