At Omaha Senator Johnson said that President Wilson’s idea .was to rush the Peace Treaty through the Senate before the people understood it. He declared that the Bulgarian, Turkish and Austrian Treaties were based on secret agreements, made before the United States entered the war, yet the League of Nations would require them to guarantee American blood to sanctify these agreements.
